Who We Are

The City of Victor is an officially designated National Main Street community within the Colorado Main Street program and became a city-sponsored Colorado Main Street Graduate Community in 2012.

The Main Street Movement established in 1980 now has 45 state coordinating programs, 1600 certified communities, and 28 Main Street Communities in Colorado.  Colorado Main Street assists qualifying local governments and downtown organizations seeking support in restoring and re-energizing their historic downtown and commercial districts.  Administered through Colorado's Department of Local Affairs (D.O.L.A.) and funded by the State Historical Fund, Colorado Main Street is an active member of a national support network called Main Street America.

Victor Main Street (VMS) is a commission of the City of Victor's municipal government.  It acts as a community enrichment program which focuses on the enhancement of our historic downtown business district which is the heart of a vibrant community.  The volunteer-led VMS Board of Directors assists and supports the VMS Manager in the development of a yearly work plan, which is fueled and defined by the nationally acclaimed "4 Points of Community Transformation" developed by Main Street America.  The 4 Points are Organization, Promotion, Economic Vitality, and Design.
