Goals & Priorities
The purpose of City government is to serve the residents and property owners of the community. This requires the various departments of the City to do their share in providing a safe and livable community in all respects, both physically and socially. The community needs sound infrastructure to serve its residents and property owners, as well as to protect property values into the future.
The City strives to provide a social atmosphere that will encourage the community's viability in the forms of recreation, aesthetics, sound economic base and responsiveness to community problems.
Finally, City government has a responsibility to inform the public of its activities and plans to permit the residents and property owners the ability to assess the effectiveness of their government and make known their opinions.
