On March 9, 2024, Victor celebrated becoming a Purple Heart City, following in the footsteps of Woodland Park and Cripple Creek, which now form part of the Purple Heart Highway. Photos from the event are attached.
Local dignitaries, including Victor Mayor Barbara Manning, Cripple Creek Mayor Annie Durham, County Commissioner Dan Williams, several Purple Heart recipients, and numerous veterans were in attendance. Catering was provided by Dawn of Hope from Florissant.
